伍绍海博士（Dr. Siauw Hoi Ng）为加拿大能源部研究院（CanmetENERGY）资深科学家，主要从事工业催化裂化和油砂等非常规石油资源加工技术研究，发表论文200余篇，曾荣获加拿大政府终身成就奖、技术转移和突出贡献奖等。
BIOGRAPHY ― DR. SIAUW NG
Dr. Siauw Ng was born （1939-）and primarily educated in Indonesia. He received his B. Sc. in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University and his Ph. D. in Chemistry from University of New Brunswick, Canada. Currently, he is working for the Canadian government as a Research Scientist. Over a career of 30 years, he has been devoted to oil-sands-oriented research with some 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and reports. He holds several patents and has won a number of national and international awards, including the Federal Partners in Technology Transfer Leadership Award, the Natural Resources Canada Departmental Merit Award which is the most prestigious award offered to scientists in his department, and the UNB Alumni Award of Distinction. His biographical profile has been selected for inclusion in the 2007 special edition of Marquis Who’s Who in the World. He currently serves as adjunct professor and Ph.D. co-supervisor at several universities in China and Vietnam.
